when the plastic macbook top cover cracks where the lid meets it when the laptop is being shut, the replacement by apple will be a whole new surface, including keyboard and touchpad area. worth the trouble.

My MacBook has its third new keyboard/touchpad although Apple told me that they changed the material and it won’t happen with my generation of MacBooks.
